2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship Betting Guide: Best Bets and Sleepers
Hey everyone, welcome in. Betsperts Golf here for a little bit more playoffs. FedEx St. Jude Championship. Andy loves the playoffs. He is frothing at the mouth to discuss this event. What is going on, buddy?
We will discuss this event. We will talk about some guys we bet, some values we think exist. A little DFS, a little one and done. But yeah, not to oversell it, but I hate how the playoffs work. It is a time of the year where everybody is more focused on, hey, the football is starting, and I have got to draft my fantasy team, and I have got to start camp stuff, and I am more excited about that. And it is just not a good format. We have shown over the years, people do not enjoy the small field no cut as much as they enjoy a normal tournament. It is not a popular move that they have made, and this was the first of the events to start doing that, obviously before they did it with signature events. And not only that, anybody who follows me on Twitter knows that I hate FedEx.
I saw that this weekend. You are very protective. So pull the curtain back. You are very protective of what goes out on that account. Now, again, you would not necessarily think that from some of the bits that come out, because it is a good account. I will give it to you. But for you to fire publicly at a company like that, you were mad.
I know. I was in Vegas, and my poor wife is dealing with this. So it is funny how they just lobbed a package into the ditch and let it roll down the hill. And then they took a picture of it, because it is like how your Uber Eats guy has to take a picture. And it is like, oh, I will just take a picture of this. I do not give a shit. So suck it, FedEx.
Working on it. We are working through it. But either way, we are in Southwind. I am sure you guys went over the course plenty, but we have got to give them credit at the playoffs. We do not have the staggered start.
Yeah, that is better. That was really annoying. It really did turn the last event into a, not a foregone conclusion, but it is like, hey, here are five guys who can win this event, right? The other ones are just kind of jockeying for position, because there is so much money involved. Nothing we get more excited about than watching rich golfers get richer. Hey, congrats on your T13 and your seventy million dollars you just won, or whatever. So I like this. I like this course, though. It is tough. I think that is my other problem with East Lake.
Also better than the redesign, but we are probably going away from that. I do not like it as a course. Scoring here is still like fifteen under, if it is soft. It is not going to be soft. It did not get some rain last week, but it is projected to be an incredibly dry week. And it is funny how the rough plays, where if the rough dries out, it is actually tougher, the way the ball sits in it and the way you have to kind of whack through it. So the rough should be up to four inches by the weekend. The fairways are incredibly narrow. Some of the designing they have done and changes have made it tougher to hit and hold these greens.
So you have got, I think besides distance, which some courses have the room to actually be like, hey, guess what, this is a five hundred ninety-eight yard par five now, and it is going to take a lot to get there and have eagle putts. Besides distance, I think pinching in the landing areas, actually having a rough penalty, and then making it harder to hit greens, those are the things that actually make golf tougher for some of these guys. Outside of just, hey, this is a place where it is just tough because of the setup and you cannot cheat. You cannot work your way around some of the doglegs with the distance, like stymieing distances. It is fun for me. And like I said, it is still going to be a fairly low scoring event.
But I like how this sets up, because it does make you hit good tee shots, hit good approach shots, really come through with your ball striking if you want to compete. And I think it was a pretty quick model build this week as far as knowing what matters, knowing the archetype that wins here. And it is funny, because a lot of the big names are going to model well. If I put ball striking in my model and I say, hey, I want a guy who is accurate off the tee over the last six, twelve months, whatever, I want a great approach player, I want a goddamn stick, it is going to put some of these huge names at the top. But in general, huge names have not won this over the past four or five, six years.
And I mean, Rory did not even come here last year. I was surprised to see him here. I actually thought that the Rory move, we might see that with others, because now that it does not matter where you start heading into East Lake, there is less incentive to come here and play. Other than, of course, it being a no cut event where you are guaranteed to make a nice little chunk of change.
I do not know if they found a house they wanted to buy, and he is just like, hey, I can go T8 this, and then we will just buy that house.
In the Memphis area?
In cash.
I doubt he is moving to the Memphis area. I am just saying, maybe he found a nice new beach house on the West Coast to add to his Hollywood home. Hollywood, Jupiter.
Hollywood is where he was born.
It is true. Hollywood. Big Rory guy.
Big Rory guy. Big shift in the last year.
Yeah, either way, there are some people who are like, geez, is he going to give a shit? Does he care? Did they just throw up, hey, you need to come play this, and we will give you some extra on top of it? I do not know that any of that exists, but the theories are out there. So some of the top guys, I do wonder if it is more of a, hey, I want to play good. This is not an I need to go out here and absolutely win this. I need to be in good form for East Lake. I want the trophy. I have the money already. I want the trophy. I want to be the guy. I want to be player of the year.
So it is interesting, because we have had players further down the board win this event, and you are not looking at weird ass names, because the players further down the board, a lot of them are still just top fifty players, because that is how it works. It is only the top seventy players, and technically sixty-nine because Berger is not playing. So there is a small field. Everybody here has earned their way in. There is a lot of good golfers. And Jordan Spieth playing.
Take a dig at him. No top tens this year. Only guy in the field. Just a wild ass stat, to just be good enough, mediocre. Best to anybody from Minnesota, the best to the lousy, and the lousiest to the best. The common man, Jordan Spieth, just make it into this field.
I think you can take some shots further down the board if there are some guys you like that fit this profile here. It is a fun way to start the playoffs.
I agree. I do not disagree with your playoff takes at all. And that is, I think, why we are leading to something that is going to look very different in the next handful of years, still TBD on what that actually is. But I do think it is going to be different. And I liked the course too. I mean, I would like to see this in some other format, maybe not. I am not going, so I am not going to complain that it is just swamp ass. I mean, this is the Lucas Glover swamp ass place. It is just, Memphis in August is hot. Can we find a different time of year?
Did you see the weather? Did you see the weather reports?
Yeah. It is going to be warm.
It is like, well, not only that, but I mean, heat advisories during the day. Because it is going to get hotter every day. The highs on Saturday and Sunday are like a hundred and one, a hundred and two. It is going to be hotter than Dutch love down there.
And as we mentioned, pretty dry. So it is going to dry things out over the course of the week. You might be rolling a little faster at the end of the week. There is going to be some good runouts.
And not if you miss the fairway, though. And maybe the rough runs out, so maybe the rough does not grow quite as fast either. That is the other side of that. Grass needs water. Maybe they will water the rough. I am sure they have a sprinkler system, many golf courses do. If they do want the rough to keep growing, they will probably have to run that a little more. But it will be interesting to see how the course evolves over the course of four days.
I agree with you, because I like the course. There is an uptick in driver usage, but at the same time there is a legit rough and missed fairway penalty, as you have highlighted. And that is, I think, a combination that we like. I think that is a combination that can keep scoring in check. Because the field is moving to, it is just a little bit more, say five, six years ago, and say less than driver, but it was more of a positional track because of the water, because of the missed fairway penalty. But guys have been way more aggressive with driver usage in the last handful of years, actually turned it into a driver-heavy spot.
As you can see here, looking at the course stats page over at Betsperts Golf, you can see it is driver-heavy. When you combine driver-heavy with a high missed fairway penalty and a high rough penalty, that is fun. The professional game, there is not a lot that can test these guys. You are still going to have guys, and your winner is still going to go low. But in terms of score relative to par for the fields, you could see that continue to move closer to par. It is still going to play comfortably over par, because there is a lot of other things that are easy here. These are small greens as well, but it makes putting a little bit easier, which is a challenge for these guys.
I think it is a decent corollary course week. Again, we highlighted some of this on the Monday show, some of those positional, water-heavy, mixed club slash driver-heavy type spots. You can see East Lake here as well. Sedgefield. Again, this is three straight weeks between Detroit, Sedgefield, and TPC Southwind where we have a par seventy, which I think is an interesting mix. We do not really have a lot of them over the course of the year. Sometimes you get one of the majors will pop up that way. But you are leaning a little bit more on the par four scoring, because you just have the two par fives, the third hole and the sixteenth, and they are both massive birdie opportunities. So everyone is making hay on the par fives. You need to really hold your weight on the par fours this week.
So you can see here, driver usage. I think even twenty twenty, before this it was like barely seventy percent, right around tour average. In the last couple years we have been right around eighty percent, so significantly above that. But you have to play from the fairway, because if you look at the approach and look at the greens in reg numbers. Again, small greens. They are below average greens in reg. But look at this. Greens in reg from the rough last year, thirty-three point five percent, is almost twenty percent below a PGA Tour average event. So you are against a strong field.
Right. This is the fifth year of this being the first leg of the playoffs. So very, very strong field. You have got to play from the fairway. So I do think that makes it somewhat of an interesting test. You can see a lot of the other stuff too. Around the green plays pretty easy, the putting stuff is pretty easy, but getting there is a little harder.
So for me, you mentioned not a ton of big dogs at the top of the board winning, but it is a premier ball strikers test. When you look at a Rosie, a Hideki, Glover, Zalatoris, even Ancer, these are guys that are really good ball strikers. Maybe have some other holes in their game, but can definitely stripe it to the green.
Yeah. And then quickly, I am sure you mentioned it yesterday as well, but a lot of water.
Oh yeah. Eleven holes with water danger. And it is not the same as like Sawgrass or TPC Twin Cities where, hey, a really bad drive and you are teeing off again. A lot of it is on the second shots, where it is an approach shot. And if you want to go for it on this five, you are battling with some water. So I think honestly that is more fun. It is fun when it is on both the drive and the approach, as we can sometimes have. But yeah, there is quite a bit of water here too. So bogey avoidance, kind of just accuracy with your irons as well, always important, never not important, but more of a, not just to give yourself scoring opportunities, but keep yourself out of double bogey jail. So it is kind of interesting how you have to have probably both of those.
And I am fine going team no putt this week as well, where if there is a guy that just checks all the boxes and his short game is in shambles right now, I will still be betting them. I bet Thompson last week. I do not care.
I have a feeling there is a guy that you bet based off of that.
So yeah, you can see the scoring played a little harder last year. But again, the strong fields. So this is all kind of flat, a little bit above tour average, so a little bit less than a stroke. Again, we are playing a par seventy here. So yeah, again, first leg of the playoffs. Do not love it. But for the most part, there is a lot to like about this course.
So let us take a look here at your model.
Let us see here. Yeah, you did.
I did put a lot of, I know, but a lot of filters. So approach heavy, but I did put in tough to gain on approach. I put field strength tough. I put greens in reg tough. So some of the filtering I did on that. Same thing with, so many long par fours here, I wanted to include that. So I went par fours four fifty-one to five hundred. And again, I put par four scoring as difficult and average. I did not want to have any of the easy built into this.
It is different when you have this kind of field. When you have a full field event and you are pulling some of these guys that maybe play on the tour part time because they are not making fields, they are not making signature events, and it is like, why is this guy rated so high? And then you look at his sample size, and it is basically pulling like three alt events and the Rocket. And it is like, oh, well, it is just a bunch of easier courses that he ended up playing, and he is ranking weird because he has a stupid sample size. So sometimes I will do that. Matters less this week with the strength of this field, obviously.
Good drive percentage. Good drive percentage means percentage of drives where you hit the green essentially as well with your second shot, or third shot if you are on a par five. So fairway accuracy difficult, rough penalty high, missed fairway penalty high. More filters I built into there. And then bogey avoidance like I said. Right, bogey avoidance. Let us see. Same thing, some of the same filters. So strong fields, average to difficult, in very difficult scoring conditions, bogey avoidance. There you go. So good golfers for the most part. Scottie, Thor, Cam Young, Matt Fitz at the top.
All right, who made the card? Did you make bets yet, or are you just kind of flirting with the board?
So far, Collin and Alex.
And Alex is the one that I was like, you bet Alex Fitzpatrick.
Yeah, I mean, I had to. Just such a weird trajectory with this guy. And you bet him the other week and I was close to it. But again, kind of middle of the pack numbers on these guys, if you are going to want to look at some guys a little further off the field. And I granted Mark, it was not a huge number. It is not Scottie Rory short, but he is kind of in that second, third tier there, which I am fine with. But the Alex one, Alex Fitzpatrick, in case you are worried I am betting Alex Smalley. That was one too where, just based on his skill set and where he is playing right now, it is like eighty to one, eighty-five to one at Bookmaker right now.
So you are able to find Morikawa probably around thirty, maybe bigger if you shop around a little, and then Fitzpatrick eighty-ish. And that is it. I need to be kind of talked into some of these other guys if I want to add anyone else to the card.
Yeah, the whole score we have to tee last. Oh no, he was good to win them.
Yeah, just the thing around the green and short game for Alex, but the rest of it has been great all year. The ball striking has been really good. And again, yeah, he is from England, but he went to Wake Forest. He is stateside. He is very much a Bermuda guy. I think he still lives in North Carolina when he is here. So he is definitely familiar with the Bermuda stuff.
Again, that did not help him much last week.
No, but yeah, the rest, again, I agree. The ball striking is, it is just the short game stuff is noisy. This is an easy place to gain around the green.
Yeah, I have the poster child for this type of layout on my card as well, where it is like, yeah, around the green stuff can get a little wonky, but the ball striking is pretty great, and then occasionally it blends together nicely.
So yeah, I get this, Collin. I thought on Sunday when I was doing my research that Collin would be on my card. What I had access to domestically at Open was significantly shorter, and I wanted thirty or in that range. So I think that is probably a pretty good number. I have room to add. I think if it drifts a little bit, then maybe I can get there. But I like the Collin call. Fairways, approach.
A lot of folks liking Sam Burns this week. I get it. Twenty-five to one. I thought about it. I am not super sure I quite get there with him to actually close it here with this field.
A lot of people like Hideki this week, especially that early DraftKings number. I think that was quite a bit higher. Seeing more Tom Kim love again. That price was up a little higher after. But some love for him after a decent finish at the Wyndham.
I looked at Aaron Rai again. Aaron Rai did not have a good week last week. But he is another one where it is like, hey, do you want someone who leads the field in driving accuracy over like six months? And just scoring opportunities inside fifteen feet, super high. Basically all the stuff you need to do besides, obviously, putting as well. So he is eighty to one. I think he is a viable long shot, definitely in DFS play.
I looked at Hovland a little. He has had success here in the past. He has had good stats here, if you want to just be like, did you gain against the field when you were in Memphis last time? Yeah. But again, like forty to one, I think I would need a little bit better number on somebody like that. Same thing with Matt Fitzpatrick. His number is a little short for me right now.
Yeah, it just has not been as crisp as he was early in the year either. So I think he is falling off.
The Burns thing is interesting. I like Burns. I consider Burns. I am also just thinking of, kind of joke about Scottie. Hey, oh, it is so cute, look at Scottie on the range with his kid. Oh, it is adorable. Scottie at the Masters, brings his kids to all the majors. And it is also like, yeah, what is a little different in Scottie's world than it was two, three years ago? It is kids. You also just pumped out a kid. Has not played in a couple weeks. Sammy Burns. So I am sure he is playing. But we have not seen Sammy Burns since the Open Championship. Again, almost won the Open Championship. I am sure he is going to be fine. But like at twenty, I do not know what you have been doing the last three, four weeks.
Probably changing some diapers. Giving mom a break while she takes a nap.
Probably hitting some balls, probably playing a lot of golf, if we are being honest. But still, I am going to wait and see on the Burns train. But I get why he is a popular click. I thought Burns and Morikawa would be pretty popular. And I think deservedly.
So I was taken aback by Scottie in my model. I do not know why I am surprised, but the gap between him and everyone else is pretty significant. But again, when you are leaning on a lot of ball striking stuff, he has just still been awesome. I am never making that bet, but it is a pretty big gap. The gap from two to nine is not much, but the gap from Scottie and everyone else is pretty significant.
I started my card with Si Woo Kim. I have not bet him for a very long time, but Si Woo keeps it in play off the tee. Again, the ball striking stuff, the par four scoring stuff, par four birdies. Again, offers floor and ceiling. He has been playing really good golf. I think probably too good to not get a win on the card this year. By far his best year as a pro, doubling top fives, top tens. He has been so good.
Also, incredibly accurate off the tee. One of the real good irons players as well. It is weird how he is going to model well because he had so many good finishes. Would you rather have a guy who models well because of a bunch of decent finishes, or a guy who models well because he won once and then has a couple of T2s as well?
Geez, are you like a weather alert? Tornado warning. Oh, get in the basement.
Yeah, these. I am joking, you are already in the basement.
No, I thought that is your basement.
It was in the basement of my old house where the internet was atrocious.
Well, give me like a two-minute warning if you see a tornado out the window, and I will just fill for a while while you take cover.
Yeah, so what was interesting for me. What price did you get? It is like thirty, thirty-five?
Thirty-five.
Yeah, it is a pretty good number. All of his four tour wins came on what kind of greens?
Yes, sir. Bermuda.
On Bermuda? Yeah, fun fact. What are we playing on this week? We are on Bermuda.
Zoysia. Always your favorite fairways.
Yeah, which are fun. And maybe worth mentioning, because if you are pulling up short, laying up, and you have to hit from fifty, seventy-five, they are maybe one of the easiest fairways to chip off of for some of these guys as well, the way they hold the ball. So if you are already a short game wizard, it is going to be even easier for you this week.
I have not been talking to anybody yet. Some of the other guys I looked at were a little longer. I looked at Spaun a touch. Again, just based on some of the buckets of iron play. He has played pretty good over the last three months. I just could not quite get there. It might be a pretty short card for me this week. Maybe some live betting.
Yeah, live betting. I have got four guys. They are all basically the same price, they are all in that same range of bucket, but similar skill set. For me it is all, are we playing from the fairway at a high rate, elite total drivers, distance from the edge of the fairway guys. Southeast, if you happen to have a southeast lean, or good Bermuda putting splits, I like that too.
Again, this should surprise no one who has ever watched or read anything that we have done here, betting Russell Henley at forty, forty-one. Look, playing from the fairway, putting has been really good of late. I do not know, just around the green plays actually really held it back, which is typically some of these pretty strong at. If you look at this, it has been pretty poor, but the rest of it is really good, and he just does not make bogeys, keeps himself in play. He is not going to be putting the ball in the water, playing Russell Henley.
You said you considered Viktor Hovland.
I considered him, and I clicked it. Again, Hovland is actually a really good Bermuda putter. If you look at his putting splits, again, this is a twelve-round sample in the last twelve months, but if you go back three years and fifty rounds or so, he is consistently significantly better than it had been in years past. So I like Hovland here, just like the form that he has been in. Again, we have not seen him in a little bit, but he was obviously bringing in some good form before the Open Championship.
Those three. And again, this is just kind of a blind bet for me. We have now fifteen rounds, or fifteen event sample, for this young man. He has never finished outside the top twelve in total driving in his fifteen starts. Also, pretty good on Bermuda putting. I think he has not putted well the last couple weeks. I am betting Jackson Koivun at or north of that number, just kind of blindly, because I think in a year or two we are going to be like, remember we used to be able to bet Jackson Koivun at that price.
I am going to do it. I am going to do it. I looked at him. It is one of those, where do you get another one? Do we pop another one? But his stats are so good. He is just instantly, it is very. And I hate to put this evil on him, because this happens to a lot of guys. We have seen guys come to tour and look real good, and then it is like, I took a step back, something did not work out, or just not playing as well. No, but like a bearish where it is like, oh, this guy can win like now, and he is going to. Or some of these other guys that have cropped up in that sense.
So yeah, I will look at these good drive. This is from the end of the fairway numbers. Look at this. Yeah, we do not have a big enough sample yet, but it is just like, is he just a top five ball striker on tour? Maybe. So if we are going to make numbers like this where he is way deeper down the board, and we are going to make, Sander, seventeen.
I am not sure you are giving me a choice here. All right, I will add him. I will do three. I will do Morikawa. I have Morikawa and Alex Fitz, but I will add some Koivun. Thirty-six at Bookmaker. I will have to shop around a little bit.
Yeah, question in the chat about Rickie. He is in the outright market. Ball striking numbers have been better than you think. He is just kind of mixed a little bit, which is new because he had not been for a little while. It is not a name that I go to often, but I do like these trending. The Bermuda stuff is, again, that is eight rounds, so not much of a sample. But again, he has been historically a pretty good Bermuda putter here. And the putter obviously is something he gains with overall.
The around the green play, we are both kind of tossing it out this week. It does matter in the sense of small greens, low greens in reg rate. But in terms of gaining around the green, we have seen bad chippers get it done around here, because the ball striking stuff, as you mentioned, last sixteen, last eight rounds, definitely trending upward, along with the putter. The putter has been doing a lot of the heavy lifting here as well. It is okay, we like to see that. You can see here, three straight top twenty-five finishes. I am just looking at the off the tee stuff here. But yeah, T8 last time out at the Rocket, eighteenth at the Open, fifteenth at John Deere. Pretty much gaining throughout the back, other than a little blip here around the green at the Open. But we would like to see the approach plays.
Yeah, I do not hate that at all. Probably for me would be a finishing position bet more than an outright.
Yeah, I was going to say, he is a placement bet if you wanted to.
Do not hit it. Cam, yeah, Cam is spotting. Ooh, buddy. And it is such a weird thing, because it was something we talked about when he switched caddies. And it was like, hey, he found a guy who is absolutely crushing it with helping him read greens, and his putting has gotten so much better, and he is just going to win every third week now. And I do not know what has happened.
Confidence begets confidence, begets results. And sometimes when your putting goes to shit, it just continues to make you putt bad.
I do not know, man. It has been a tough hang for a very, very good golfer who has lost multiple strokes a bunch of times now.
Makeable putts? That is the problem here, is that it feels worse because he is still tee to green been awesome. He was awesome last week tee to green. But you are making forty-three point eight percent of your five to ten foot putts here.
When you see some other guys that are, again, these are the worst putters of the week. But when you look at who won and how that was going for them, putting wise, it is a little different. So again, we are looking at all the green up here with what these guys are doing.
Jesus Christ. This is not even as bad as Cam's minus one point nine.
He is better than Cam was.
It is tough. Cam was kind of on my list of guys to watch for live betting as well. If it looks like the putting is not in shambles early on, even if I get a slightly worse number, he is just such an amazing fit. And I think he has the game. But if he putts like this, it is like, well, you are going to get eleventh. Good. That is like your ceiling. You cannot win this tournament if you were going to putt like you had last week.
Yeah. The Davis Thompson stuff feels bad, because the ball striking here was so good. Right, three point two per round on average. The Cams hanging back here, this is still really good, getting almost two full strokes ball striking per round. It is just, that is tough. That is a tough hang. It is not great. So it can trickle down. Twelve strokes ball striking and finishing twelve under.
Good. Good job, buddy.
God, it drives me up a wall.
So yeah, Cam is on my list of guys. Maybe kind of my list of I would never consider him here. I just do not understand some of the motivations for some of the top players. Scottie Scheffler could lap the field. But right now his approach is kind of in the can relative to some of the stuff. Long irons have been a bit of a weak spot. Again, relative to where he has been at. It is not like he is a bottom ten irons player or something. He is not as sharp as he has been in the past.
Same thing with Rory. And again, a lot of this is price, like four fifty-nine to one. Rory coming here, not super sure that he is motivated to win, and it is more of a soft pass. I do not know that I could bet him at under ten to one.
Wyndham Clark, the tee to green work has been kind of squirrely past couple, two, three times out. And if he gets loose here, he is not going to compete.
Justin Thomas kind of being in that price range too is a little weird for me. I know he has won here. He has played well here. But I think he has got to be a pass the way he is.
Drove it really well last week.
Yeah, which can obviously be sometimes his undoing when he is playing from the rough and stuff. But yeah, the number is still short seeing him around. Thirty to forty to one for him right now is too little.
Yeah, I am with you. I got the four. Honestly, I do not think a bunch of people are like scrambling to bet Brennan to go back-to-back. But even in DFS, I do not love him at a place with this much water. I like him in a place that is a little more wide open that he can take advantage of with his big swing.
Yeah, but last week, did you see him? He is piping one eighty-one ball speed with a three-wood and just playing from the fairway, because Ross cannot get one eighty-one with the driver, and Brennan is just like, yeah, you know what, I am just going to tee it up low and just hit this stinger that never gets over like thirty-five feet in the air and just let it roll out all day.
Yeah, he might just be good. He might just be really good. He has two wins already.
So I am a little sketched out with some of the water.
Then, yes, kind of the same stuff too. I like Si Woo Kim a lot in DFS. You identified him as a play. He is another one that is like seven four hundred. Yeah, it is a pretty easy click.
Jordan Smith, he is another one that, it is funny, he has made a bunch of, you do not have to make a cut here, but he is another one that feels like, for a cheap guy, he can finish in the top half of the field pretty easily.
Yeah, I liked him last week. He gave me a hole in one and then a pair of fives around it, and cannot chip in putt. He is like Alex Fitz. Just ball striking is so consistently good, but the guy just obviously cannot chip.
If you want a guy who can putt on Bermuda instead of going team no putt, you have got a little Harry Hall. He is cheap as shit, way down the board.
A lot of people on Alex Smalley at seven thousand. I do not know that it is going to be like seven thousand range chalk. It feels like you might have to work your way off him.
Yeah, I do not love seven thousand chalk.
Apache. Yeah. Playing pretty poor historically, a pretty good par four score. But it is like bad form, good fit, and it is cheap if you need to make some pivots in DFS. And then just if you want approach guys, Kitayama, Bridgeman.
Yeah, Bridgeman playing better. Michael Kim sixty-six hundred, he is a guy who can get hot, especially when it is this kind of ask as well. So the Bermuda god who got there for me a little bit last week is Nico Echavarria. He mixed a little bit. Especially, I think you need some of these like Echavarria's.
Where did you win?
Yeah, PGA National.
Was there water there?
Decent amount of water there. That is a decent comp course too. Because if you do want to do stars and scrubs, you are going to need some of these. Echavarria, sixty-three hundred. Michael Kim, Max Homa, sixty-four hundred. Max Homa is playing a little better golf. He had to make it a bunch of lineups. You can throw him in the player pool.
And Echavarria can go just white hot on the greens and just sink from everywhere. And then all you want is birdies in DFS in particular. So that is a nice little cost saving punt there. And the guy that would not be surprised, who definitely finishes above his weight in terms of where he is on the odds board, probably not going to win, but yeah.
Do not hate that at all.
And then one and done, clues, brother. You have got to figure out who you have left. You really know if you are chasing or holding at this point, because there is only a couple of events left. If you are really chasing and you love a guy and you look and he is like eighty percent available in your league, and it is somebody that is popular in the betting card this week, you probably cannot use him. You might have to save him for next week if you really want to use him, and hope the field uses him this week, and find somebody to chase with. I do not think I could say all sixty-nine names are in play. But some of those mid tier guys, you are going to have to throw a bit of a fourth and long hook and ladder here.
Yeah, because you do not have so much time to make things up. So if you need to cash big, kind of got to find a guy with a real high ceiling here, and hopefully somebody a little lower on the ownership rung. I am not sure. It is going to be based on the size of your pool.
Need a Minnesota Miracle.
Yeah. Oh God, what a fun day that was. Very fun.
Play anything else on the, I will not say the name, I will only say the St. Jude Championship?
That is it. People need to go take advantage of the Rebet deal over on the site. Go to betspertsgolf.com. You will see the free subscription article on the site. Use promo code BSG when you sign up. And I did say this to Ryan, we do not really promote this to current users, but if you are a current user and you do not have a Rebet and you want to do this, well, I will sort it out. I can just go in and manually adjust your renewal date by a year. If you can show us, hey, I signed up using the promo code with this email, I can look in the backend, I will tack a year on if you want to do this. Because we help them out, they help us out, we help you out, and we all get to look at the golf data a little longer.
And that should be a fun next year, as we are currently in development of four or five new tools, and I am starting to map the DP World Tour data. That is a huge project, by the way, because you have all the PGA data, you have the DP World Tour data, and if you think they label their columns the same, you would be greatly mistaken. So it is a lot of just sorting, cleaning, managing data as we are working on getting that in. But that is going to be a lot of fun, to have a lot more data. And I think next year, probably on site, some DP World Tour articles, DP World Tour previews. They might not be as extensive as some of the PGA stuff, but I want to have that, because that is a league that I think a lot of people do enjoy betting.
Let us know if you want to see some more of that, or if you have any ideas. Ninety percent of our, hey, we built this tool, it is because somebody asked for it, and we are like, actually that is a great idea, we should have that tool, that would help us a lot, and I think a lot of people would use it. So as always, hit us up in the Discord, or on Twitter, in the YouTube comments, if there is something on the site you would like to see down the road. Because now is the time, during the off season, which is football for us so still busy, is when we are able to add some of that stuff to the site.
Oh, with that, hit the thumbs up. Subscribe if you have not. I would love to get to a thousand subscribers on this little YouTube channel. And we only use twice a week, but that would be great, even if we have to hit it in the fall. And we will catch you next week for BMW at Bellerive.
I met a guy who works at Bellerive.
Oh, nice.
At Bedpash, yeah. Guy was, he is pretty pumped. He was already pumped about Presidents Cup in like six years or whatever, four years. Maybe, I think it is twenty thirty they are having in there.
So yeah, Bellerive next week. That will be a fun one to talk about. And then the finals in two weeks. We will see you guys.
